Vercel deploys on your desk
The Vercel deploys app shows whether the latest production deployment of a Vercel project is building, ready or failed on Perchi Matrix, checked every 2 minutes and pushed within seconds by a Vercel webhook. It needs an access token you create in Vercel. On Perchi a successful deploy is a proud moment and a failed one a worried look.

What it shows
What does the Vercel deploys app show?
Building, ready or failed for the latest production deployment of a Vercel project, with rocket and siren alerts pushed by webhook.
The display shows the state of your project's latest production deployment beside a deploy icon: building, ready or failed, with the deployment URL as a second layout. A poll every 2 minutes keeps it current, and a Vercel webhook for Deployment Succeeded and Deployment Error pushes the change within seconds; both key on the deployment id, so one deployment is announced once.
You create an access token in Vercel's account settings, scoped to your team, and add the team id for team projects; the token is stored encrypted and masked after saving. A webhook can cover several projects, and then it announces all of them on this display unless the automation filter $.payload.project.id == prj_... narrows it to one.
A successful deployment plays a rocket with DEPLOYED; a failed one plays a siren with DEPLOY FAILED. The Netlify deploys app does the same for Netlify sites, and the GitHub Actions app covers the build before the deploy.
How it connects
What do you need to connect Vercel deploys?
An API key or link you control. A Vercel access token (and team id for team projects) plus the project name; a Vercel webhook for instant alerts.
Keys, tokens and links are tested against the provider before they are saved, stored encrypted per record, masked after saving and never shown again. Revoke them at the provider any time; the app simply stops. The security page lists what we have and have not done.
Speed
How fast does Vercel deploys update?
Polled every 2 minutes with your access token, and pushed within seconds when a Vercel webhook for Deployment Succeeded and Deployment Error is added. The poll and the webhook key on the deployment id, so one deploy is announced once.
Style
How does Vercel deploys look on the matrix?
The deploy state beside a deploy icon is the default; the deployment URL scrolls in the text layout. A successful deployment plays a rocket with DEPLOYED, a failed one a siren with DEPLOY FAILED, and a threshold can hold the failed state in red until the next deploy.
The preview at the top of this page is the default Vercel deploys scene on a 24x8 Perchi Matrix, reading OK. The apps page explains how freshness badges work, and the Perchi Matrix page lists every font, colour and effect in the style panel.
On Perchi
What does Perchi do with Vercel deploys?
A successful deployment is a proud moment on Perchi, with READY on the card; a failed one makes the face worried with DEPLOY FAILED. Both wait if a Phone Nap block is running.
A moment is Perchi's reaction to a real event: the face changes mood first, then a small card with the value slides in beside it and the face returns. Moments queue three deep, never interrupt a Phone Nap stage change, and wait silently during a block when do-not-disturb is on (the default). See which real events Perchi celebrates and how Phone Nap works.
Setup
Set up Vercel deploys in three steps
Everything happens in the web dashboard from any browser; there is no app to install on your phone and no account wall before the first pixel.
- STEP 1
Create a token
Vercel, Account settings, Tokens: create a token scoped to your team and copy the team id if the project belongs to one.
- STEP 2
Connect and install
In Connections add Vercel with the token; install Vercel deploys and enter the project name or id.
- STEP 3
Add the webhook
In Vercel add a webhook for Deployment Succeeded and Deployment Error with the automation URL and secret, scoped to this project.
Honest limits
Where does Vercel deploys stop?
What the provider, the hardware or our own roadmap does not allow yet, stated before you reserve rather than after.
Questions about Vercel deploys
Specific to this app. The general questions (do I need an app, does it work offline, what does a reservation cost) live on the pages that own them.
Does the Vercel deploy light need a webhook?
Not to work, but to be instant. The access token alone keeps the state current every 2 minutes; adding a Vercel webhook for Deployment Succeeded and Deployment Error makes the rocket or siren play within seconds of the deploy finishing.
Which Vercel token scope does it need?
A personal access token from Vercel's account settings, scoped to the team that owns the project. It reads deployments only; it is stored encrypted in a connection and masked after saving, and you can revoke it in Vercel at any time.
Does it work with team projects on Vercel?
Yes. Enter the team id (team_...) with the token and the project name or id, and the app reads the team's project instead of your personal one.
What if one webhook covers several Vercel projects?
Then every project's deployments are announced on this display, because Vercel sends them all to the same URL. Add the automation filter $.payload.project.id == prj_... with your project id and only that project gets through.
Does it show preview deployments or only production?
Only production. The app reads the latest production deployment so the light means what a deploy light should mean; preview builds on branches are ignored.
Is there a Netlify version?
Yes, the Netlify deploys app: production deploy status of a Netlify site with the same success and failure alerts, connected with a Netlify personal access token.
