Terms and Conditions

Terms for myperchi.com reservations and orders: what a reservation is, batches and dispatch order, launch price and MRP, warranty, governing law India.

Last updated 2026-09-19. Questions: support@myperchi.com.

These terms are version 1.0, published on 19 September 2026. They apply to myperchi.com, to reservations and orders placed through it, and to the MyPerchi dashboard that comes with every Perchi and Perchi Matrix. Plain English on purpose: if a sentence here can be read two ways, the reading that is fairer to you is the one we mean.

Who you are dealing with

MyPerchi is a small hardware company in India. Our legal name, registered office address, GSTIN and PAN are published on the Contact page before checkout opens, together with the grievance officer required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020; until then complaints go to grievance@myperchi.com and are handled by the founder. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean that company; "you" means the person reserving, ordering or using a device.

Definitions

  • Perchi is the silent desk companion and phone stand; Perchi Matrix is the LED desk display; Perchi for two is a pair of Perchis sold together. All three run Perchi OS firmware and use the same dashboard.
  • A reservation is a place in the queue for a product, made on the Reserve page. It is not an order, no money changes hands and nothing is owed by either side.
  • An order exists only when you pay through the checkout link we email you, or through our store once it opens. The order is confirmed when the payment succeeds.
  • A batch is a numbered production run. Units in a batch are built, bench-tested and dispatched in the order the reservations were received.
  • The launch price is the price shown on this site during the launch batches. The MRP printed on the box is the maximum retail price inclusive of all taxes; the launch price is lower than the MRP and is the price actually charged during the launch period.

Reservation terms

  1. A reservation is not a sale. Reserving costs nothing, creates no obligation to buy and gives us no right to charge you. We hold a place in the queue for the product and quantity you chose.
  2. Order of dispatch. Units are dispatched in the order in which reservations were received. When a batch is full, later reservations join the next batch automatically and keep their place in the sequence.
  3. The wait is an estimate. The estimated wait printed on the Reserve, Pricing and Shipping pages is our best current estimate and is not a promised date. If the estimate moves, we email you the new window and the reason before it moves. Delivery in India follows the Shipping Policy.
  4. The checkout link. When your unit has passed its bench test we email you a personal checkout link. The link holds that unit for 7 days at the launch price. If you do not use it within 7 days the unit goes to the next person in the queue and your reservation moves to the next batch; reply to the email if you need more time and we will hold it where we can.
  5. Cancelling. You can cancel a reservation at any time by replying to your confirmation email or writing to hello@myperchi.com. There is nothing to refund because nothing was charged.
  6. Quantity and accuracy. A reservation covers up to four units. We may refuse or cancel a reservation that looks automated, duplicated or fraudulent, and we will tell you if we do.
  7. If we cannot deliver. If we cannot build the units in a batch, or we withdraw a product before your checkout link is sent, we tell you by email; if you have paid, you receive a full refund under the Cancellation and Refunds policy.
  8. Your email. We send reservation emails (confirmation, batch updates, the checkout link, dispatch) to the address you gave; these are needed to fulfil the reservation. Marketing email is sent only if you ticked the separate box, and you can stop it at any time.

Orders and payment

  • Prices on this site are in Indian rupees and include GST. The launch price is valid until the date printed on the Pricing page; after that the MRP applies. International prices are announced when the global batch opens.
  • Pre-orders are prepaid: payment is taken through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking, EMI on select cards where the bank's minimum allows) when you use your checkout link, or at checkout on our store once it opens. Cash on delivery is not offered for pre-orders.
  • Every Indian order receives a GST invoice showing the product, the price, the tax and the unit's serial number. Put your GSTIN in the notes on the reservation form, or send it in reply to the ready email, to have it printed on the invoice.
  • A paid order can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before dispatch. We do not charge cancellation fees; if we cancel an order ourselves, you receive a full refund. Refund timelines are in the Cancellation and Refunds policy.
  • Prices, batches and estimates on this site may change for new reservations at any time. A change never affects the price on a checkout link already sent to you.

Dispatch, delivery and risk

We ship across India through Shiprocket and its courier partners, dispatching within the working days stated on the Shipping Policy after payment. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives damaged or a unit is dead on arrival, the replacement window in the Warranty policy applies, with free pickup in India.

Warranty and returns

Every Perchi and Perchi Matrix sold in India carries the warranty described on the Warranty page, which forms part of these terms: a warranty on the electronics against manufacturing defects, a dead-on-arrival replacement window, and a claim process that needs the serial number and the GST invoice. Returns after delivery follow the Cancellation and Refunds policy. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Your account and the dashboard

  • The dashboard is a web application; a free account is needed to pair a device and install apps. You are responsible for keeping your passkeys, sign-in codes and API tokens to yourself and for the people you invite into your workspace.
  • The dashboard, the app library, firmware updates and the local API are included with the device. There is no subscription for anything a single device does. If we ever offer paid plans for studios and teams, they will raise workspace limits and will not remove anything a device can do today.
  • You agree not to use the dashboard, the API or public links to send unlawful, abusive or infringing content, to interfere with other people's devices or workspaces, or to probe the service in ways that would break it. Public-link messages are moderated and may be refused.
  • We may update the firmware on your device over the air. Updates are signed, install through a trial boot and roll back by themselves if they fail. You can keep a device on the stable channel only.
  • The local API and MQTT run on the device on your own network and keep working whether or not the device can reach our servers. The core features of each device (the face, Phone Nap, the clock, timers and cached apps) work offline.

Intellectual property

The names MyPerchi, Perchi, Perchi Matrix and Perchi OS, the face, the artwork and the text on this site belong to us; the firmware, the dashboard, the APIs, the SDK and the CLI are licensed to you for use with your devices, not sold. The print files for Perchi's shells are to be published under an open licence, and that licence, when published, governs the files. Apps you build in the dashboard remain yours; by submitting one to the public store you allow other users to install and remix it under the store's rules.

Limitation of liability

We are liable for the device you paid for, for the warranty on the Warranty page and for anything Indian law says we cannot exclude. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or loss of data that was never on our servers (such as a Wi-Fi password, which we never receive). Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Grievances and governing law

Complaints go to grievance@myperchi.com; the grievance officer is named on the Contact page once appointed. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month, as the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 require. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at the place of our registered office, without prejudice to your right to approach the consumer forum of your own district.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change we update the version number and date at the top. Reservations and orders placed before a change stay under the terms that applied when they were placed. Questions about these terms go to hello@myperchi.com.
