What we will not do
Lines we hold with journalists
- No hardware numbers before the bench pass: weight, dimensions, power draw and phone-detection timing are not measured, so we will not give them as exclusives either.
- No ship dates. Until the bench pass, every wait on this site is an estimate and no calendar date is printed anywhere.
- No review units before they are bench-tested, and no sample that differs from what customers get.
- No claims about competitors beyond the dated, sourced prices on our comparison pages, and no disparagement.

Questions from journalists
Can I get a review unit of Perchi or Perchi Matrix?
Not yet. No unit has been through the hardware bench pass, so there is nothing to send that we would stand behind. Email press@myperchi.com with your outlet and address and we will tell you when the first bench-tested units exist; review units follow that pass, never precede it.
Are the product images on this site photographs?
No. Every device image on myperchi.com is a render drawn from the firmware's real face parameters and the display's real 5x8 font, so what you see is what the screen draws, but the shells are illustrations. Photography follows the hardware bench pass and the shell CAD. Please caption them as renders.
How should I write the company and product names?
The company is MyPerchi (one word, capital M and P). The products are Perchi, Perchi for two and Perchi Matrix; the firmware is Perchi OS, with no version number. The tap gesture is a boop. Please do not shorten Perchi Matrix to Matrix on first mention, and do not describe either device as a robot: nothing on them moves.
Which facts can I quote without checking with you first?
Everything in the fact sheet on this page and every number on the product pages: prices with GST, the 128x64 OLED, the 24x8 matrix with 192 LEDs, 60+ integrations and 70+ apps, the Phone Nap defaults (25 minutes, 5 to 120), the warranty. Weight, dimensions, power draw and phone-detection timing are not published because they have not been measured on production units; please do not estimate them for us.
