The GitHub Actions app is a build light: Perchi Matrix shows running, success or failure within 1 second of GitHub sending the workflow_run webhook, with a siren effect on a red build. On Perchi a green build makes the face proud and a failed one makes it worried. Setup is one webhook URL in the repository settings; no token needed.

What it shows
What does the GitHub Actions status app show?
A CI build light: running, success or failure of the latest GitHub Actions run, pushed by the repository webhook, with a siren on a red build.
The display shows the latest run's conclusion beside the GitHub icon: RUNNING while a run is queued or in progress, then success, failure or another conclusion when it completes, with the workflow name available as a second layout. A failed run raises ci.failed and plays a siren with the workflow name; a successful re-run raises ci.fixed and plays confetti.
GitHub pushes the state through a repository webhook for workflow_run events, so nothing is polled and no token is involved: the webhook secret belongs to the automation, and a delivery whose signature does not match is refused. Late deliveries of an older run are ignored, so a slow re-delivery never overwrites a newer result.
GitHub sends every workflow and every branch of the repository, so the automation's filters matter: $.workflow_run.head_branch == main and $.workflow_run.name == your workflow name keep a pull request or a nightly job from replacing your main build's result. One installation watches one repository; a display holds up to 32 apps, so several build lights can rotate in the playlist.

Webhook only: GitHub delivers workflow_run events as they happen and the display changes in under a second. Nothing is polled. The value is marked stale after a long quiet period, so a repository nobody pushes to does not look freshly green.

The status template draws the conclusion beside the GitHub icon, green for success and red for failure through the theme colours; the text template shows the workflow name. A failed run plays a siren with <workflow> FAILED, a fixing re-run confetti with <workflow> FIXED, both editable.

Install GitHub Actions status, then add an automation with the GitHub preset targeting it. It shows a URL and a secret.

Which GitHub events does the build light use?
Only workflow_run. GitHub sends one when a run is queued, starts and completes, so the display shows RUNNING during the run and the conclusion afterwards. Select only Workflow runs when you create the webhook to keep every other event out.
Does the GitHub Actions app need a personal access token?
No. GitHub pushes the run state to a webhook URL, signed with the secret you set in the repository's webhook settings, and MyPerchi checks that signature. No token, and nothing leaves your GitHub account except the run's name, branch, number and conclusion.
Can the build light watch several repositories?
Yes, one installation per repository, each with its own automation, up to 32 apps on a display. The playlist rotates them, or a threshold can pin the failed one in red.
What does it show while a build runs?
RUNNING beside the GitHub icon, with the workflow name in the second layout, from the moment GitHub reports the run as queued or in progress until it completes.
