What it shows
What does the Twitch live app show?
LIVE or OFFLINE, the viewer count and the stream title of any Twitch channel, with a flash the moment the stream starts.
The status layout shows LIVE or OFFLINE in Twitch purple beside the Twitch icon; the viewers layout shows the concurrent viewer count; the title layout scrolls the stream title. All three are outputs of the same app, so a playlist can rotate through them while you stream. You type the channel name from twitch.tv/<name> and nothing else: the data comes through MyPerchi's own Twitch app token.
Two sources feed the app. A poll every 2 minutes reads the stream (channels are batched 50 at a time, so a busy display costs Twitch nothing extra), and a Twitch EventSub subscription for stream.online and stream.offline is created when you install, so the go-live flash arrives within seconds rather than at the next poll. Both paths raise the same event once, keyed by the stream id.
Going live plays a flash with LIVE NOW; the stream ending plays a gentle snow effect with STREAM ENDED. Because the app tracks any public channel, it is as useful for watching a friend's stream as for your own on-air light.

No account: a public handle. Nothing: the channel name from twitch.tv/<name>. No Twitch sign-in.
No sign-in, no key, no account with the provider. It is one of the 37 apps in the no-account list, so it works from the minute the display is paired.

How fast does Twitch live update?
Going live and going offline arrive within seconds through a Twitch EventSub subscription created when you install the app. Viewer count and title are polled every 2 minutes; the value is marked stale after 5 minutes without a response and expires after an hour.

How does Twitch live look on the matrix?
LIVE or OFFLINE in Twitch purple beside the Twitch icon is the default; the viewers layout shows the count in compact format and the title layout scrolls the stream title at the speed you set. The go-live event flashes LIVE NOW; the end of the stream plays snow with STREAM ENDED. Both texts are yours to change.

What does Perchi do with Twitch live?
Going live reaches Perchi as a moment: the face looks up, curious, and LIVE NOW slides in beside it. Set the resting screen to this app and the viewer count sits next to the face for the rest of the stream.
A moment is Perchi's reaction to a real event: the face changes mood first, then a small card with the value slides in beside it and the face returns. Moments queue three deep, never interrupt a Phone Nap stage change, and wait silently during a block when do-not-disturb is on (the default). Setup
Set up Twitch live in three steps
Everything happens in the web dashboard from any browser; there is no app to install on your phone and no account wall before the first pixel.

Find it in the no-account list in the dashboard and install it on your display.

Type the channel name
Enter the name from twitch.tv/<name>. The EventSub subscription is created for you; nothing to paste into Twitch.

Pin the app or give it a longer turn in the playlist during streams, and pick the effect for the go-live event.

Does the Twitch live app need my Twitch login?
No. It reads the public live status of any channel through MyPerchi's own Twitch app credentials, so you only type the channel name. Twitch sign-in is needed only for the separate Twitch followers app, which reads your own follower count.
How quickly does the display change when I go live on Twitch?
Within seconds. Installing the app creates a Twitch EventSub subscription for stream.online and stream.offline, and Twitch calls MyPerchi the moment your stream starts; the display flashes LIVE NOW. The viewer count is polled every 2 minutes.
Can Perchi Matrix work as an on-air light for Twitch?
Yes. Put the Twitch live app first in the playlist, or pin it, and the display reads LIVE in purple while you stream and OFFLINE when you stop; add a flash effect for the go-live event. It is silent and needs no Stream Deck or OBS plugin, only the channel name.
Does it show my viewer count while I stream?
Yes. The viewers layout shows the concurrent viewer count Twitch reports, refreshed every 2 minutes, in the compact format (1.2K) when it does not fit. Rotate the status, viewers and title layouts in the playlist during a stream.
Can it count my Twitch followers too?
Not this app. The Twitch followers app shows your channel's follower count and celebrates follows, subscriptions, raids and cheers as they happen; it is in beta, needs a Twitch sign-in and works only for the connected channel.
Can I watch a friend's Twitch channel instead of my own?
Yes. Any public channel works, because the app reads public stream data. Install one copy per channel you want to watch, up to 32 apps on a display.
