What GLANCE is
GLANCE LED, established in 2021 in the US, makes two lines: the original GLANCE ($149.99 to $219.99 by size) and GLANCE Scroll, a scrolling ticker from 2.5 feet at $399 to 8.5 feet at $1,499.99, both built from 64x32 modules in custom 3D-printed ABS shells. The pitch is glanceable live data with no phone: sports scores for your teams, stocks, mutual funds, digital assets, forex, commodities and precious metals, plus news and flights, with a no-code app setup and no subscription because, GLANCE says, the purchase price covers the premium data feeds. Shipping within the US is free and next-day.
Trust signals are mixed. The site shows 4.7 stars from 1,302 reviews for GLANCE and 4.8 from 1,197 for Scroll, the company says it has sold over 15,000 units, and the warranty is 90 days. Amazon.com shows 3.8 stars from 30 reviews for Scroll, and Trustpilot 2.9 from 8, where the complaints include a unit that failed during an update and a long wait for a refund. We report both because that is what a buyer will find.
What Perchi Matrix is
Perchi Matrix (₹4,499 including GST) is a desk-scale LED display, 24x8 at launch and up to 64x32 later, that shows the numbers you own from 70+ apps: Razorpay, Stripe and Shopify sales, YouTube and Twitch counts, GitHub stars and Actions, Vercel deploys, calendar countdowns, weather, an F1 next-session countdown and a desk pet. It has a REST API, webhooks, an MCP server, an SDK and CLI, and an authenticated AWTRIX-3-compatible local API with MQTT and Home Assistant discovery; updates are signed with automatic rollback. Sports data or your data
GLANCE licenses sports and market feeds and shows them beautifully; that is the product, and if you want the NFL scores and your portfolio across a wall, it is the right one. Perchi Matrix does not license sports feeds. It has an F1 next-session countdown and an exchange-rate app, and it does not do cricket scores today. What it does instead is show the numbers that come from your own accounts, celebrate them when they move, and take any number you push to it over a webhook, the API or Home Assistant.
Warranty, openness and where it is sold
GLANCE's warranty is 90 days and its API is a developer site rather than a documented local interface; Home Assistant is not mentioned. Perchi Matrix carries a 12-month warranty serviced in India with 10-day dead-on-arrival replacement, documents its REST API, and its local API and MQTT keep working on your LAN without our servers. When Perchi Matrix is not the right fit
If you want live sports scores and stock tickers with zero setup, buy GLANCE; Perchi Matrix does not license those feeds. If you want a wall ticker in a bar or a den, GLANCE Scroll is the right shape and Perchi Matrix is a desk device. Perchi Matrix is the right fit for numbers you own, on a desk, with an API and an Indian warranty.
